The Letter E

We started a new letter today, E! It’s always a fun and exciting day when we start a new letter.

First up, I always have Sam use the Letter School App. I love this app. This isn’t the first or last I’ll mention this app, as I think it’s fantastic!

I love this app because it forces kids to use the correct letter formation.

When I teach school, I’m also preparing dinner, changing laundry and often times holding a baby, so I need school to be simple yet meaningful. Most of my activities do not take a lot of time.

Out first activity was finding the letter E in our family members’ names. This was so simple, yet fun for my son.

E is for experiment, so naturally we had a fun experiment.

If you want some AMAZING food coloring for baking and school stuff, AmeriColor is out of this world! Here is the link:https://amzn.to/2ETJquc

I have a membership with abctwiggles.com. I also highly recommend this. I love the videos, and worksheets.

This was a video about the letter E.

These two worksheets are both from ABC twiggles. I have my son use a marker or a crayon when he writes. He is only four. Pencils are too small.

Another thing we do when I introduce a new letter is use this great magna board (also doubles as a great church or car activity!!).

I made our next counting activity. When I have more time (never!!), I’ll create a link for a printable.

One more thing about me, this is my second time teaching preschool. I taught a year of four year old and five year old preschool to our oldest son. Now, this is my second son. So, I made a lot of these things three years ago. No need to re-invent the wheel!!

Our new color is purple, so I gave the assignment, go find something purple.

Counting to nine, our new number was next. You can use anything, but we used popsicle sticks.

On a new letter day, we always make a new page for our book. Please do not judge my artistic ability!! Ha!! E is for elephant..that is an elephant.

Next was a coloring page from Abc Twiggles. Coloring is an important thing that strengthens hand muscles.

We ended the day putting together a puzzle. I love puzzles, so does my little guy.

That’s all for today!!
