I’m a busy momma, so I try to make preschool as meaningful as possible, in a very simple way.
Today is our last day learning about the letter E. This is actually two school days crammed into one. Somedays there are more important things to do than have school, such as go to work with Dad, hang out with Grandpa, drive grain cart with Mom, or go somewhere like an auction. I value my children’s education, but preschool is not mandatory, so we take it very lightly. (That is the reason we are so behind according to my schedule and why I cram two days into one!)
The first game we played today was Ear, Ear can you Hear? It went like this, I listen and say something I can hear. Then it was Sam’s turn.

Then Sam turned the game into Eye Spy, and I said, Yes!! Eye starts with E, too!! (Such a smart kiddo!!)
Mazes are Sam’s favorite, so I wasn’t surprised when he wanted to do the maze two times. The worksheets are all from abctwiggles.com.

We did one more worksheet. We make locating the letters fun by using paint dobbers.
Worth the price, our set has lasted us three years:https://amzn.to/2JYK3Gu

Since it’s April, we are talking about the weather changes. We talked about the sun, clouds and rain. We made a simple cloud. I didn’t have cotton balls, so we used these cotton swabs and glued them to construction paper.
I suggest buying a package of construction paper, since it is used a lot in preschool:https://amzn.to/2vu2uQb

I read Horton Hatches an Egg, next.
Such a cute story!! Horton Hatches an Egg:https://amzn.to/2JYNtsO

Our last worksheet was practicing writing the letter Ee. I let my son use a crayon or a marker to write.

An Egg is Quiet is a beautiful book, it’s non-fiction, however it is very short and keeps kids’ attention. I love reading non-fiction books to my Boys, and they love to hear them!

We’ve played this next game before. We adapt it as necessary, the important thing I’m teaching is counting and recognizing number. We make it work, and this Mr. Potato head game is a favorite!

You’ll need dice:https://amzn.to/2K2Ug4L
And a Mr. Potato Head, Mrs would work, too. 😉:https://amzn.to/2Hf6fi2
My little guy is not ready for adding. So, we just roll, and count and then pick the correct number.

Our last activity of the day was a bag puzzle. I made this activity. I need to find the link. It would be easy to make though. Just use a permanent marker and Pom poms.

That’s all for today!
