I love Spring. Everything is starting to turn green. We spend more time outside and the sun is out later. I also have to start mowing. I do love to mow, I just hate how much time it takes.
This is my companion in the summer. Each mowing takes me about four hours. I sometimes mow everyday, because I don’t have time to spend four solid hours on the mower. Is it bad that I can’t wait for one of our kids to be big enough to mow??

Look at that freshly mowed grass. Most importantly, look at all of those trees I have to mow around….

Jake brought home some seedlings from school last week. Derek said tonight we would plant them. Baby Max was so excited to place the flags next to the trees. What are the flags for…so Mom won’t hit the new trees with the mower.

My goodness it is beautiful here. Pretty soon this field will be green.

I love when Derek is in charge. Then I can just sit back and takes some pictures of the moment.

Sam really wanted to dig a bigger hole.

Max wanted them to hurry up and get the tree in the hole. Where was Jake? Well, he was practicing casting his fishing pole in the driveway. But I THINK at this point he was filling up the watering can with water.

“Oh Dad, I love you so much.”

Here comes Jake. Not every seven year old drives a golf cart from the early 80’s around the farm, with a pig skull attached to the front.

Jake dropped off the water and then continued his night crawler hunt. He was excited about this one!

Time to move to the last spot for the last tree.

Oh, now Maddie is here helping.

Now there was fighting about who was going to pour the water on the last seedling. It was suggested by Mom to share this process.

The dirty faced children are making sure each gets an equal amount of water.
Who is watching that baby??

Time for a picture. I love this crew.

Now the boys found a hole. They want to know what lives in there. They are so kind hoping to scare out a bunny. 😉

Maddie is helping to dig the hole and make it bigger.

Playing in the dirt (and weeds) is the best. I’m looking forward to throwing them all in the bath, very soon!!

No animal ever escaped. I kind of wish one would have, man, that would have made them jump!!!

Any night spent like this, is my favorite!!
