We are not off to a great start. Today is Thursday and this is our first day of school.
Sam chose a dinosaur puzzle to start our day. This was a perfect puzzle because we started the letter D today.

D is for dragon, so we made a dragon first.

We played a game with letters, next. We looked around the kitchen and found objects. Then we put a letter next to the item.
C is for chair.

F is for flowers.

These are the letters we used.

We read this fall book next- Red Leaf Yellow Leaf- https://amzn.to/2QL24uG

We sang a song to learn the the days of the week. I made this song up. I don’t even know a tune to tell you to sing with??
Here are the lyrics:
There are seven days, there are seven days, there are seven days in a week. Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday.
Repeat again and again.
We used our preschool book next to practice writing shapes. Our preschool book- https://amzn.to/2IQZLDE

Sam and I counted to 10 in Spanish. We practiced this several times.
Our following directions game was building a marble run. Sam loved this activity and played with the marble run for a long time.

To end our day, Sam drew in the dirt.

Day 2
Sam chose a puzzle to start our day.

D is for dinosaur dig. I put a bunch of plastic dinosaurs and covered them with baking soda. Then Sam used a paint brush to uncover the dinosaurs. He Loved this activity.

D is for duck. Sam and I read the numbers on the bottom of the ducks.

Then we “added” two numbers on the bottoms of the ducks. This was not an activity Sam did independently. This was something we did together, as we counted on my fingers. 😉

More fall books that I love- Fall Leaves Fall-https://amzn.to/2pQ7b0Y
This next activity was for number recognition for numbers 11-25. I wrote numbers and cut slits in a shoe box. Then Sam matched up popsicle sticks with the correct number.

Next up Sam practiced tracing shapes and coloring.

To end our day, Sam played with dinosaurs and play-doh.

Day 3
Again, Sam chose a puzzle to start the day. Sam is on a puzzle streak. I love it!!

After prayer and calendar, we read Duck in the Truck- https://amzn.to/2NCAeic
D is for duck. Sam loved gluing the feathers on the duck.

This sensory activity of measuring kept Sam busy for a while. This tub is filled with kidney beans that have been spray painted, some sunflower seeds, and a variety seeds.

This is Mat Man. We’ve used these wood pieces to build letters. Teaching kids to draw a person is actually a real need. This Mat Man will actually help kids understand. This is not how one is supposed to make mat man, but this is how Sam chose to make Mat Man, today. 😉

Coloring is NOT Sam’s favorite activity. Our oldest was the same way at this age, now he colors beautifully. So, I’m not going to let this bother me – too much. 😉

This was our best activity for the day! D is for detective. I gave Sam a scavenger hunt, he loved it!!!!

Our game for the day was Connect Four. I’m a terrible mother because I beat my poor child three out of three times. For the record I tried to help him beat me once, he just wouldn’t take my hints! Ha!

For our last activity Sam painted with Dobbers. These dobbers are used all the time in our preschool. Kids love using them.
