I’m not sure this post will even qualify as a week of preschool…Harvest trumps preschool. π
It rained, so we had a school day. Normally I’d try to squeeze in two days, but I was too busy meal prepping for the next few days of harvest, doing laundry and cleaning my neglected home!
We started the day with Sam playing with these little people. He turned this into an awesome activity with his own imagination. He was telling me stories about the people, the families and having a blast! Some of the people were our family, or extended family.

We have moved onto letter E. Our first activity after calendar and prayer was painting the Earth. I did show Sam a model of the Earth, but this is how he chose to paint, and I’m cool with that.

Earth Muffins were next. Buy a kit, or find a recipe and make muffins. Just add green food coloring to them while mixing.
This is the recipe we used- https://pin.it/vjjrm74az3c6xr
My husband said these muffins look moldy. π

Sam played with play-doh, next. I helped him make an Earth.

This spooky lava lamp experiment was next.
This was a HUGE hit in our house. We tried out the experiment when Jake got off the bus and when Dad came in from working.

We practiced counting to ten in Spanish, next.
I wanted to read Green Eggs and Ham, but I couldn’t find our book.
So, I let Sam listen to it on YouTube. He loved this change.

The last book we read was this fun, educational book. I love the Magic School Bus- https://amzn.to/2qd3hiX
Sam wanted to play UNO, so that is how we ended our day.

Day 2! We had a day two!!
We started our day with these blocks. These blocks are pretty neat because they come with cards that give instructions for the blocks.

E is for egg.

Creepy density.
We poured molasses in first. Then we poured in corn syrup. Then red colored water, and oil on top.

This was lady bug counting. I wrote a number on the black circle, Sam counted out red stickers.

The high light of the day was playing Hungry Hungry Hippos- https://amzn.to/2EOPklE
This Fall book makes me super hungry for all things pumpkin- https://amzn.to/2Dambzq
Even though Sam looks sad, he was Sooo excited to make scrambled eggs. I take every opportunity to teach my children to cook and bake. I’m all about life skills.

E is for eggs!!

To end the day, we read An Egg is Quiet- https://amzn.to/2D6JeLA
That’s it for the week!!
