Hello!! Here we are working on letter F! My plans still say October, but we are throwing in some December activities, too. I’m probably the only one this make sense to. So, thanks for listening.
Day 1
Warm up- scrabble alphabet soup. I honestly don’t know how to play this. So we play how I’ve invented, and it works. It’s mostly about letter and word recognition.

After prayer and calendar we worked on letter F.
F is for food. Sam cut out some food from an add and pasted to an F.

This is a great book! Every time we read it I think to myself, what are some of these fruits or veggies?? 😜

Drawing under the table. This is a fun activity that also builds motor skill strength. Simply attach a sheet of paper under a small table of coffee table.

We made a marble run. My hot glue gun is essential in preschool! Sam chose where to put the popsicle sticks. This was a fun, free activity.

I let Sam use my phone to practice dialing our home phone number. Yes, we still have a land line.
F is for fireworks. These are firework hands.

I wrote out the letters A-F. Sam used unifex cubes to “write” each letter.

We practiced counting to 10 in Spanish. Sam is making up less words. I feel like we are making progress.
We read a couple of Christmas Books, today.

I cut out some felt shapes and Sam decorated a tree. Felt is very fun and forgiving for kids!!

After prayer and calendar Sam “fished” for letters And numbers. I couldn’t find our fishing pole until about eight hours later.

Next we played tic tac toe with legos.

We have an old pen pal book about agriculture from when I was teaching. Sam loved learning about cattle ranching.

Our next activity was building with Legos. LEGO building helps strengthen muscles in tiny hands so writing is easier.

F is for flower. This is a flower made out of Froot Loops.

We finished up our day reading this Christmas book.

After calendar and prayer, we started our day working on letter F.
First up was playing a little catch with a football. “Mom always said don’t play ball in the house.” I love Brady Bunch reruns.

Next up was some fine motor strengthening skills. I had Sam sort beads with a tweezers.

Sam was very excited to located patterns in our workbook.

Working on gross motor skills was next. Sam played on the balance board for a long time. I would give him some challenges and he would work for them.

Finger Painting was next.

Sam matched up farm vehicles with their starting letter.
